Job Summary

Nordex Group is seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining highly available Java Spring Boot microservices in the IoT environment of wind turbines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices in the IoT environment of wind turbines.
  • Record and process the requirements of product managers and stakeholders.
  • Develop our internal product solution for the future control and monitoring of state-of-the-art wind turbines.
  • Integrate new devices in the IIoT software solution.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers and provide technical instructions.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Sound knowledge in software development with Java Spring Boot, in the environment of microservice architectures.
  • Existing knowledge of service architectures, API design, integration patterns, and communication protocols.
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical skills.
  • Strong self-initiative and hands-on mentality.
  • High communication skills and the ability to discuss complex topics.
  • Distinct communication and teamwork skills coupled with intercultural competence.
  • Experience in DevOps processes and technologies as well as working in an industrial environment is advantageous.
  • English (very good written and spoken). Ideally skills in Spanish and German.
  • Profile: Organized person. Willingness to learn new technologies. Desire to work in agile teams and good communication skills. Resourcefulness and troubleshooting attitude.
  • Minimum work experience of 4 years.
  • Availability to travel.
