The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is a leading supercomputing center in Spain, housing MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe. Our mission is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. We combine HPC service provision and R&D into computer and computational science under one roof, with over 1000 staff from 60 countries.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Officer to join our International Partnership team in the Director's Office. The successful candidate will assist the team leader in exploring international opportunities, organizing meetings, and drafting collaboration proposals. The role requires excellent communication and project management skills, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore and identify potential international partnerships in line with BSC objectives and interests.
  • Organize meetings and conference calls with potential international partners.
  • Draft collaboration proposals and help define responses to EU and other funding agencies.
  • Support the Team Leader in project activities, including drafting project deliverables and reports.
  • Coordinate consortium meetings and keep project documentation up-to-date.
  • Liaise with other BSC departments to incubate and run international and EU-funded projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managerial roles in international projects.
  • Proven ability to draft proposals and answer EU and other funding agencies' RFPs.
  • Excellent mastery of English and Spanish, with working knowledge of other languages an advantage.
