The UCAM-SENS unit is a scientific research group within the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, dedicated to the development of advanced (bio)chemical sensing technologies.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at UCAM-SENS. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our research activities, maintaining laboratory equipment, and conducting experiments.
Key Responsibilities- Support research activities, including preparation of laboratory equipment, maintenance of instruments, and waste disposal management.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data using advanced analytical techniques, such as IC, GC, HPLC, and MS.
- Develop and implement new laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with researchers and other laboratory staff to achieve project goals.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and maintain accurate records.
- Education: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or an FP degree in Laboratory Technology.
- Knowledge: Good Laboratory Practices, maintenance of laboratory equipment, waste disposal management, chemical reagent management, conduct research experiments.
- Experience: Proven experience in analytical techniques, analytical instrumentation, laboratory preparation and maintenance, writing of protocols.
- Attributes: Methodical and organized, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Skills: Ability to analyze and work with high technical specialization.
- Language: Advanced English level (B2/C1).
