We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Clarivate Analytics in Barcelona. As a key member of our data science team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of knowledge search and discovery.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge machine learning and AI models to enhance the user experience of our customers in the intellectual property & science domains. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Research and identify Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods and algorithms to solve specific problems and improve user experience.
- Implement these methods and devise appropriate test plans to validate and compare different approaches.
- Identify new applications of ML and NLP in the context of our extensive sets of content and data.
- Explore existing data for insights and recommend additional sources of data for improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Technology, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of industry experience, with 5 years of proven track record in the application of ML and NLP.
- Excellent analytical and Python programming skills (Java and R are a plus).
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect people, gather data & information, and tell & sell the story.
We are looking for candidates with experience in:
- Search engines, classification algorithms, recommendation systems, and relevance evaluation methodologies.
- ML pipelines and deployment.
- NLP solutions in the legal domain; experience in the patent domain is a plus.
- A master's degree or PhD with a focus on AI/ML.
