About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the EU demand team with the supply needed to achieve company targets. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the product to be purchased and the different origins from which to purchase it. It will also require you to always be aware of market trends in order to buy at the best price and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a purchase strategy and effect more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices.
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects.
  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  • Partner Relationship: Research and identify prospective suppliers and opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers.
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships.
  • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
  • Quality: Monitor and advise on organizational risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain sourcing MIS reports and accurate procurement records.
  • Assess suppliers and ensure contract compliance.
  • Inspect purchased items for quality and handle invoice verification and payment processes.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration, or equivalent, with relevant LLB graduation adding value. Demonstrates extensive experience as a Procurement Manager, Officer, or Head. Proficient in sourcing, procurement techniques, and market analysis. Exhibits leadership prowess and proficiency in data collection and analysis.
