Job Summary

This role will drive the technology roadmap for Clinical Development, focusing on enabling the design and execution of clinical development plans and trials to develop high-value medicines for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the clinical development process and the ability to drive technology solutions to support it.

About the Role

The Clinical Development Technology Director will be responsible for partnering with the Clinical Development organization to understand their technology needs and develop solutions to meet those needs. This will involve working closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify requirements and develop technology roadmaps and initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT and business partnering, with experience in delivering technology solutions in the pharma industry or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement technology roadmaps and initiatives to support the Clinical Development organization
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify technology needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
Work closely with the Clinical Development organization to understand their technology requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
Engage with global senior business leaders and leverage the appropriate DDIT teams and Functions to determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and add value

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology discipline
Advanced degree and related accreditations a plus
12+ years in business partnering and delivering IT solutions in the pharma industry or similar industries
5+ years of experience with end-to-end Development processes and IT landscape and technologies across functional areas
5+ years Ability and experience exploring technology capabilities, industry disruptors and solutions to propose roadmaps
Ability to engage with senior and diverse stakeholders, connecting the dots and influencing roadmaps
Experience working across matrixed functional and IT teams and leading by influence to enable technical capability
Experience in leading cross-functional teams
