About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a project focused on understanding the nuclear localization of metabolic enzymes and its implications in cancer stage, grade, and response to therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing mass spectrometry (MS) data to determine the enrichment of metabolic enzymes in the chromatin compartment.
- Validating data with immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques.
- Developing a pipeline for image analysis and integration of different markers together with subcellular localization of selected metabolic enzymes.
- Collaborating with the research team to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bioinformatics and image analysis.
- Experience in omics analysis, MS analysis, and high-throughput image analysis.
- First author publication in a reputable scientific journal.
- Eligibility for international or national fellowship programs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer.
Education and Training:
- PhD in biological sciences, molecular biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Drive and commitment to produce high-quality experimental results.

The Offer:
- Contract duration: Technical and scientific activities contract - estimated duration 1 year with possible renewal.
- Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
