Dive Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dive & Resource Manager to join our team at Wärtsilä. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing the assigned dive resource pool and acting as the focal point for diving operations within our local business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate diving personnel, equipment, and resources to ensure compliance with legal, company, and industry regulations.
- Ensure diving operations are staffed with a qualified team and conducted from a safe, well-equipped dive site.
- Oversee the preparation and mobilisation of diving equipment and personnel.
- Conduct site visits, kick-off, and close-out meetings for diving operations.
- Continuously review diving system performance to recommend improvements.
- Ensure accurate project documentation and compliance with company standards.
- Provide operational advice and specialist expertise to meet business objectives.
- Interface with clients to facilitate their technical and operational needs for diving projects.
- Participate in internal and external company audits.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in business, with 5-7 years of experience as a leader or manager in commercial diving, OR secondary vocational studies with 15+ years in commercial diving roles and 7+ years as a Senior Dive Supervisor / Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge or expertise of the commercial diving industry.
- Profound expertise in legal and compliance domains related to diving operations.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
- Strong planning, organisational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to foster cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation.
