We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Architect to join our team at Boston Consulting Group. As a key member of our IT consulting team, you will work closely with our clients to assess and coach their IT teams, define IT strategies, and develop technical concepts for data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Own the delivery of specific IT projects and help develop technical concepts for data architecture solutions.
- Coach other project members and lead other consultants in their work streams.
- Apply architectural consulting skills to strategic technology questions and work on a variety of technology topics.
- Between 5-10 years of experience in data strategy, technical project management, or technology consulting.
- Proficient in designing robust data architectures, including data platforms and pipelines, with a strong focus on ETL processes using cloud services.
- Extensive hands-on experience in implementing data solutions using various platforms, including Apache Hadoop ecosystem, Elastic Search, and other related technologies.
- Expertise in both relational and non-relational databases, with a solid understanding of Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) and non-MPP data storage systems.
- Familiarity with regulations and compliance standards relevant to data security and privacy, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Proficient in implementing data governance and stewardship frameworks to enhance data quality and ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- A strong analytical mindset for evaluating complex IT application landscapes and optimizing development processes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture to guide strategic decisions and innovations.
- Strong experience in either the banking or energy sector, demonstrating a proven track record in major projects and innovations within one of these industries.
