Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accompanying the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of data governance policies and procedures. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective data management practices.
The role requires creating detailed reports and presentations to communicate data governance strategies, progress, and key initiatives to stakeholders. The candidate must also develop and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and onboarding for new team members on data governance best practices.
The ideal candidate will work closely with data stewards, business units, and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and resolve data quality issues. They will maintain and continuously improve documentation related to data governance standards, procedures, and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective data management practices.
- Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate data governance strategies, progress, and key initiatives to stakeholders.
- Develop and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and onboarding for new team members on data governance best practices.
- Work closely with data stewards, business units, and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and resolve data quality issues.
- Maintain and continuously improve documentation related to data governance standards, procedures, and tools.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data governance with verifiable experience in supporting data governance tasks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to present complex data concepts clearly.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, and effectively manage relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude towards managing tasks and overcoming challenges.
- Ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
