Job Title: Engineering Business Operations Intern

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Business Operations Intern to join our Architecture & Software Engineering (A&SE) organization. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional departments to harmonize and optimize processes, drive operational efficiency, and strive for excellence in the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and optimization of engineering operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support business operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor project progress, track deliverables, and maintain schedules.
  • Help in budget planning and resource management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in managing operational risks by identifying and mitigating potential challenges.
  • Conduct research and provide insights into industry trends, operational best practices, and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Biotech, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, JIRA, Trello) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data query languages (e.g., Python, R), business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau), dashboard design, information design, and visualization of data for education and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Advanced level of communication in English.
  • Desirable to have international experience as a student or working abroad.
