About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Transformation Consultant to join our team at Fti Consulting, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in formulating strategic recommendations and implementing changes to clients by managing individual project modules, deploying commercial acumen in structuring and performing key analysis/deliverables with little support and develop areas of focus as well as identify leads from existing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage modules of a project or designated scope in client billable project work.
  • Play a key role in problem solving through data gathering, problem structuring, independently form insights and actions from analysis with holistic view of the engagement, coach team members to build complex financial, operational, or market models applying your Excel and financial proficiency.
  • Lay out problem solving approaches and structures by translating project scope, then independently identify the required analysis and critical path of work under the framework.
  • Deliver high-quality output, and be able to balance delegation of duties vs. "doing the work" under challenging engagement conditions. Key to this will be your ability to connect findings to strategic and operational recommendations.
  • Leverage your communication and presentation skills to communicate assignments and direction to internal project teams; communicate upward with the project leadership, and with clients.
  • Provide formal coaching to junior staff.
  • Structure and present analyses/deliverables with limited support from the engagement lead. If required you will be capable of covering senior team roles/client interactions when senior team is not available.
  • Manage project small module teams and demonstrate the ability to identify time scales, understand priorities and resource requirements and dynamically make decisions on delegation and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Play an important role in career development of junior staff through coaching and providing constructive feedback to set them up for success.
  • Support Senior Managing Directors from a commercial standpoint by developing intellectual capital, (eg. white papers) and developing client pitches and proposals, and start identifying areas of focus and leads from existing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of combined post-graduation professional experience.
  • Prior experience in professional services, consulting or prior experience in a Telecom, Media & Technology company.
  • Proficiency in the use the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) in a professional environment.
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI Consulting office(s) as needed.
