About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead a large product area at Personio, driving high-impact initiatives and delivering innovative products. As a Product Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of individual contributors, attracting and hiring top talent, and collaborating with Engineering and Product Management partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of designers across various products and initiatives, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Identify and drive high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Attract and hire top talent, investing in the growth and development of senior individual contributors and managers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management partners to lead an entire product group, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Identify problems and opportunities that others may not see, driving simplification and process improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in managing a world-class design team through performance management.
  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, working in scaling or scaled tech companies.
  • Experience working closely with Product Management and Engineering to define product strategy and OKRs.
  • Possesses experience in building and launching products at a successful product company.
  • Ability to simplify objectives and projects to deliver in the most efficient and high-quality way.
  • Experience mentoring individual contributors, contributing to their growth and success, particularly through challenging projects or features.
