Design Director - Dragon City

At SocialPoint, we're passionate about creating games that bring joy to players worldwide. As a Design Director, you'll lead our team of talented designers in developing engaging and immersive experiences for Dragon City, our flagship title.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive the game's vision, ensuring it aligns with overall goals and fosters a shared understanding among the team and stakeholders.
  • Propose new ideas, lead brainstorming sessions, and create user experience stories, wireframe screens, and workflows.
  • Ensure every feature is supported by optimal design solutions rooted in a deep understanding of player motivations, behavior drivers, product goals, and design levers.
  • Lead and grow a team of designers by providing mentorship, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting professional development.
  • Establish and prioritize goals, offer guidance throughout the development process, and approve finalized design work.
  • Create and enhance tools to streamline and accelerate the design pipeline, ensuring the team can work more efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze real-time feedback and metrics to refine game designs, ensuring they remain engaging and balanced.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient with mathematical concepts and formula creation in a game environment.
  • Proven history of designing systems that influence player behaviors and achieve key product performance indicators.
  • Expert in crafting features, systems, core game loops, economies, and meta-designs to foster and enhance positive player behaviors.
  • Experience in a live service game environment, adept at making adjustments based on feedback from an active community.
  • Solid experience in the gaming industry in a design role, contributing meaningfully to multiple released titles.
  • Extensive experience leading a diverse and skilled design team.
