Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the University of Florida. As a Therapy Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing direct therapy and counseling services to child victims, siblings of victims, and non-offending caregivers.


About the Role



  • Provide crisis intervention to families and coordinate intakes, evaluations, and interviews with children, family members to obtain psychosocial information for clinical evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staff and other agencies to provide coordination with needed services and support through advocacy, referral, and follow-up.
  • Create behaviorally specific treatment plans for all family members involved in the program and complete safety planning to prevent continued or future abuse.
  • Assist with program administration, budgeting, and grant reporting.
  • Attend case staffing's and coordinate client services and community referrals, maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
  • Supervise and review therapy plans, recruit community-based providers to serve children and families in outlying areas, and provide depositions and court testimony as required.

Requirements


To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a related field, and meet all State of Florida requirements for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Two years of post-degree supervised experience is also required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in trauma-focused care and planning.
  • Use of standardized assessment tools in determining a client's current presenting problems.
  • One year of clinical counseling experience, six months of which must be in providing treatment to sexually abused children and their families.

Compensation


The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000-$100,000, depending on education and experience.
