About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S. L. as part of our global construction estimating team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for various stages of design development phases across a portfolio of fast-paced construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and monitor overall estimating plan for assigned construction projects.
- Lead project scoping reviews with estimate requestors to define project scope and estimate deliverables.
- Use and maintain historical cost metrics to drive improvements in estimate accuracy.
- Utilize tools and templates for various levels of estimates and project types, including risk assessment.
- Produce estimate reports based on AWS standards.
- Analyze and provide timely feedback of vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data.
- Validate large or complex changes with regards to cost impacts.
- Manage revision control of scope and estimate for new designs and innovations.

Our team supports data center strategic planning and active builds across the globe. We are a diverse, creative, and team-oriented group of professionals working on a daily basis to develop data centers that are changing the face of data facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10 years of progressive experience in construction estimating with knowledge of MEP and CSA cost elements.
- Experience developing and justifying budgets.
- Experience communicating estimate strategy to construction and non-construction professionals.
- Familiar with estimating software such as CostX or equivalent.
