The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field, with a strong focus on providing technical support and services to Marriott International properties. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing technology needs within budget targets, assisting in the development of CAPEX and department operating budgets, and implementing solutions to resolve discrepancies.


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Managing Technology Needs within Budget Targets
  • Assisting and/or providing input to IT Leadership for CAPEX and department operating budgets based on anticipated IT projects and property support/needs requirements.
  • Confirming that property follows appropriate Marriott International Policies (MIPs) and Information Security Manuals (ISMs).
  • Implementing solutions as directed to resolve discrepancies.
  • Placing equipment orders as directed relating to personal computers, telecommunications, local servers/networks, and processing invoices for the property.
  • Conducting periodic inventories of applications and hardware; preparing reports as requested.
  • Confirming that technology assets are secured.
  • Complying with technology-related vendor contracts.
  • Building and sustaining relationships with customers.
  • Writing and presenting proposals, analyses, project plans, cost models, etc. in written and/or oral formats.
  • Providing customer service to associates at dedicated property.
  • Responding to inquiries from customers/vendors/peer group.
  • Assisting in disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
  • Providing technical guidance.
  • Escalating problems as appropriate through direct supervisor, CLS IT Field and/or Marriott IT resources.

The IT Manager will have a strong understanding of sophisticated technology equipment and processes, and will be able to work within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. The ideal candidate will have a 'Guest-first' mentality and be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • System-related professional certifications are desired.
  • Some experience of luxury hotel operations is preferred.

The IT Manager will be responsible for providing technical support and services to Marriott International properties, and will work closely with IT Leadership to develop and implement solutions to meet the needs of the property.
