Procurement Contract Manager

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Contract Manager to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our Procurement and Commercial team, you will play a vital role in delivering our business objectives and driving value for our customers.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading energy company, driving our ambition to be a world-class provider of procurement and contract management services. As a Procurement Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing procurement and pre- and post-contract commercial activities, ensuring that we achieve the best possible value for our business.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and executing commercial and contracting strategies to meet the diverse needs of our Renewables business
- Managing tenders for the construction of renewable energy projects, including wind turbines, solar and battery storage equipment, and electrical infrastructure
- Delivering pre- and post-contract commercial activities, including cost estimates, value engineering, and contract change management
- Developing and nurturing key supplier relationships and engaging with the wider Procurement and Commercial Teams to ensure a strategic approach
- Post-contract commercial management, including contract management, claims management, and supplier relationship management
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent understanding of the Southern European renewable energy market and relevant supply chains
- Experience of developing, procuring, and delivering projects in the renewables or energy sector
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role, with responsibility for procuring, negotiating, and managing contracts and associated risks
- Experience with main suppliers for the construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, electrical infrastructure, and battery storage projects
- Detailed understanding of commercial value drivers within a large and complex business
- Robust professional skills, including data interpretation, contract drafting, and strategic planning
Fluent in Spanish and English is required. Highly valuable other European language (Italian or French desirable).
