Business Contribution:
As a Mechanical Engineer on our team, you'll play a key role in developing and leading projects in the world of mechanics and hydraulics, with a focus on custom and sustaining special bolting products. Your involvement will span from requirement gathering to final product delivery, and you'll be a member of our multi-COE innovation group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Chief Engineer and department leaders to develop processes that ensure project delivery according to planning and company standards.
- Organize and execute the quotation and order process, including design, calculation, drawings, and sketches to develop dummy, final concept drawings, manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, revision drawings, DFMEA, and ECN.
- Prepare technical documents for manufacturers, operations, or laboratories, and update documents and drawings as built, providing RPS and instruction sheets as required.
- Require quotations from suppliers to make cost estimations prior to handing over to the supply chain, if required.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a good share and transfer of information.
- Develop the most appropriate technical solution to meet customer expectations, based on specifications provided by the sales department, and organize customer meetings to clarify needs, if necessary.
- Support the Production Department during assembling, testing, and compliance testing, and the Sales Department for onsite tests.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOM, and global Enerpac engineering processes (ECO, Winchil, etc.) for all assigned projects.
- Carry out regular meetings with the NPD and custom staff to identify deviations from plans and provide corrective actions.
- Design and evaluate testing procedures in accordance with standards and regulations required in the scope of the project.
- Collaborate in the development of NPD products.
- Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the organization, and proactively participate in safety awareness and improvement.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally, and follow published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Required Capabilities:
- Mechanical Engineer degree, with demonstrated experience in design of cylinders, bolt tensioners, mechanical systems, sealing processes, tribology, hydraulics components, or high-pressure hydraulic applications.
- Computer skills in AutoCAD, FEA (Ansys, Mechanical, Catia), CREO & CREO SIMULATE, or SolidWorks.
- Fluent communication in English, speaking and writing.
- Demonstrated creative ability to find technical solutions to the mechanical and hydraulic area, and in accordance with other involved fields.
