Job Summary

Alter Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows systems within our enterprise-server environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and development of new features and services to enhance our IT infrastructure.
  • Proactively manage our environments, forecasting capacity needs, and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Assist with the deployment of new applications and services, working closely with other teams to optimize services.
  • Provide technical expertise to address issues, investigate problems, interact with vendors, and serve as a technical expert.

Requirements

  • Strong technical understanding of information systems, with excellent communication skills to work directly with customers and other technical teams.
  • Experience with Windows systems, Active Directory, and related technologies, including patch management, virus management, and operating systems upgrades.
  • Ability to define and implement security best practices and hardening of the Windows Server OS and related technologies.
  • Experience with Windows failover clusters and ability to build and manage them.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot system errors and client system issues.
