Job Summary
As a key member of the International Flavors & Fragrances team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the entire buy process, including preparing, negotiating, managing, and coordinating agreements to support the procurement of various materials and/or services for our manufacturing sites. This role serves as the buyer with execution authority for agreements categorized in alignment with Differential Management Efficiency and/or Essentials.

Key Responsibilities
• Leads evaluation and selection of suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost, and capability for assigned portfolios for sites in scope.
• Analyzes business requirements and identifies reliable suppliers to meet business needs.
• Participates in the development of sourcing strategies to drive productivity gains and identify alternative sources.
• Oversees contract implementation and supplier performance/interaction, resolving operational issues as needed.
• Documents issues for quality, service, safety, and supply, and resolves issues with suppliers.
• Identifies and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet business requirements and Procurement objectives.
• Negotiates and delivers savings to meet business requirements and Procurement objectives.
• Understands market dynamics, labor rates/market rates, etc. that may impact buy.
• Utilizes Auction Tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and/or sealed bids to drive cost savings and efficiency.
• Creates leveraged agreements as appropriate and calculates/report accomplishments in all relevant systems.
• Executes Tail Spend strategy and manages spot and urgency buys.
• Resolves issues with vendors regarding delivery, quality, supply problems, pricing, and blocked invoices for payment.

Qualifications
• Graduates with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Procurement.
• Strong English language skills are a must, with Slovenian language desired and other languages a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong client engagement skills and very strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with varying tasks and demands in this role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to change, be flexible, and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and analyze data to develop savings/improvement opportunities.
• Strong computer capabilities, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
