Job Title: Legal Counsel

At Clarios, we're powering today, into tomorrow. We're seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Burgos, Spain.

About the Role:

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support and advice to our Spanish entities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will work closely with our General Counsel EMEA and other stakeholders to provide practical, business-savvy counseling to our businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including sales, procurement, human resources, finance, and marketing.
  • Manage specific customer relationships as Business Partner identified by the GC EMEA.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, such as supply agreements, distribution contracts, procurement contracts, and other contracts relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal training to employees to promote a culture of compliance and legal awareness.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to the contract review process.
Requirements:
  • A Law degree (University / State examination or equivalent).
  • Admission to practice law in Spain is a plus.
  • 3 years of transactional experience, preferably in the automotive/manufacturing industry or in a reputable law firm or a corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial transactions and Spanish labor/employment law.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to collaborate across departments.
