About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist to join our Finance and Strategy team at Hopper. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our business leaders make informed decisions by providing data-driven insights and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership in our product and commercial teams to optimize business pipeline conversion and scale new business partners successfully.
  • Create, update and maintain financial models, budgets and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare internal reports for business leaders to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build out business reporting metrics and dashboards, including ownership of pipeline reporting through SQL, Salesforce and Data Studio.
  • Perform analysis of financial and operational drivers to craft our short and long-term strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with multiple areas of the business to accurately reflect recent trends in all modeling and financial reporting.
  • Automate reporting and build insights using SQL / Big Query.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a top-tier tech company; prior experience in investment banking is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work autonomously.
  • Technology industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in FP&A or strategic finance, particularly working with commercial teams in B2B organizations.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with strong modeling experience.
  • Very comfortable working in SQL, expertise is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office/Google Suite proficiency.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for conducting research and answering hard questions with data.
