Innovative Mechanical Engineer for Power Transformer Solutions

**Job Overview**
Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Technology Center Córdoba.
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering, who can contribute to the development of new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers.
The selected candidate will be responsible for proposing and developing innovative solutions, leading and managing R&D projects, maintaining technical standards, and transferring knowledge through reports and educational programs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with international teams, and develop your skills in advanced numerical simulations, CAD modeling, and problem-solving.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers.
- Lead and manage R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality results.
- Maintain existing and develop new technical standards and design tools for transformers.
- Transfer knowledge and findings through reports, specifications, and educational programs.
- Assess production processes, identify gaps and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.
- Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise.
- Develop and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, and external parties.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in R&D projects, engineering, or university research.
- Knowledge in CAD modeling software (CATIA, CREO, Solidworks, Solidedge).
- Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g., mechanical simulations) and proficiency in commercial simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Comsol, Catia).
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- A structured, problem-solving approach, and a spirit of innovation.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
**Salary:** €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
**Location:** Technology Center Córdoba, Spain.
