Electromechanical Quality Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Quality Engineer to join our team at Otis Elevator Co. as a Commodity Supplier Quality Specialist. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electromechanical products and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
- Conduct audits and assessments of supplier factories to ensure quality standards are met.
- Participate in sourcing projects and new product development to ensure quality levels are met.
- Lead the resolution of internal and external quality claims to achieve given KPIs.
- Cooperate with other functions, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field, to accomplish objectives.
- Record progress and results in Otis's electronic quality system.
- Report to function and regional/global management on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in electrical engineering.
- Preferred prior experience in an industrial or engineering company from the electromechanical sector.
- Experience in quality areas, including quality issues resolution.
- Knowledge of electromechanical industry standards.
