Job Opportunity at ISGlobal

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technician to join our team at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting genome-wide association studies and epigenome-wide association studies, as well as using novel causal inference methods to assess the causality of uncovered associations with cardiometabolic health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply quality control pipelines for genomic and epigenomic data.
  • Conduct epigenome-wide association studies and other analyses in R.
  • Regularly present and interpret results to the research team.
  • Valorise research findings through presentations and publications.
Requirements
  • Higher education in Bioinformatics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of applied statistics and programming in R.
  • Experience with version-control systems (git/GitHub) and genomics or epigenomics analysis.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
