Key Responsibilities- Design Excellence: Bring industry best practices and visual design principles to your solutions, creating experiences that engage and appeal to customers, enhance usability, and improve the user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX Architects to optimize the user flow and overall experience, and collaborate with SMEs, Editorial, UX Architecture, Engineering, Customer Insights, and Product to ensure seamless integration.
- Visual Design: Create visual concepts that communicate the overall vision and approach for a project, developing the overall look and feel and delivering final designs that meet both customer needs and business objectives.
- Accessibility: Ensure that our digital products and services meet requirements for accessibility, incorporating recommendations and analysis from our Customer Intelligence and UX Research teams.
- Project Management: Independently deliver on projects, work with others on teams, and function as a UX lead for a project, organizing and delivering on small to medium-sized projects, including detailed execution, approvals, and stakeholder acceptance.
- Leadership: Lead others in setting direction and scoping work accurately, even with ambiguous, loosely defined projects, and serve as an advocate for our readers, keeping their needs at the heart of our digital solutions.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong grasp of UI, HCI, Accessibility, and UX principles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Expertise with component-based design, Design Systems, Agile, Figma, and a strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience and UX skills.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and take initiatives, balancing strategic goals with daily tactical opportunities, and present design work and supporting thinking effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership for review and feedback.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the design of News or Financial Services.
- Accessibility Standards: Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and compliance.
