Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team in Europe & Central Asia Supply Chain Operations. The Planning organization is responsible for driving material replenishment, tactical planning of production, and operational planning with factory daily management systems.

You will be responsible for the replenishment of Base Material categories and will be part of a virtual Planning Hub. As such, you will work remotely from our Converting factory on a variety of exciting challenges. You will report to a Material Team Lead and work closely with other material planners, capacity planners, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regularly challenge and update safety stock levels to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  2. Deploy KPI losses and drive improvement actions to minimize losses.
  3. Ensure accurate planning by maintaining Master Data in systems and tools in a timely manner.
  4. Place orders to supply, monitor order status until arrival, and update systems and tools accordingly.
  5. Ensure good cooperation with suppliers, including Request for Change (RFC), ordering, and delivery.
  6. Monitor demand and supply deviations, identify supply issues, and take action where necessary.
  7. Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams (Capacity Planners and Logistics) to ensure smooth material flow for production and delivery.
  8. Participate in global or local material planning initiatives and projects.
  9. Utilize planning tools to support analytics and decision-making.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 2-4 years of operational experience in Material Planning or a similar operational area of expertise.
  2. Academic degree or equivalent work experience.
  3. Experience with SAP R3.
  4. Experience working with MRP (Material Requirement Planning) tools.
  5. Experience with APO-R (SAP) is a significant advantage.
  6. Solid knowledge of material planning processes and tools, as well as logistic flow.
  7. Good communication skills in English.
  8. Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  9. Confident user of various IT tools, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), WebEx.
  10. Flexibility and strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all functions and seniority levels.
  11. Ability to challenge current processes and create new ones with documentation.
  12. Ability to work autonomously, drive continuous improvement, and challenge current practices and processes.
  13. Analytical mindset and a keen interest in business operations.
  14. Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.
