About the Role
Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled Tax Planning Specialist to join its Corporate Taxation Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on global corporate taxation matters to Ferrovial entities across various jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tax advisory services to Ferrovial entities on a global scale, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Tax Planning team to develop and implement tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Review and challenge tax advice received from local external tax advisors, ensuring alignment with Ferrovial's tax policies and procedures.
- Interact with regional and local tax colleagues to discuss and align tax impacts and tax-efficient structures of projects.
- Support complex tax projects, including international group tax law, foreign tax law, double taxation agreements, and EU tax law.
- Participate in preparing and analyzing the annual Corporate Income Tax expense provision, both current and deferred, of the Group.
- Provide support in tax defense and litigation, including tax audits and disputes related to corporate tax matters.
- Collaborate with Global Reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Studies and/or Law.
- Master's degree in taxation or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a law firm, Big 4, or in-house tax department.
- Experience working with team members across geographies, collaborating, and building relationships with stakeholders in commercial, financial, and legal functions.
- Strong analytical, technology, and data-driven mindset.
- English language proficiency (C1 minimum).
- Highly collaborative team player with sharp attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
