Tax Planning Specialist

About the Role
Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled Tax Planning Specialist to join its Corporate Taxation Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on global corporate taxation matters to Ferrovial entities across various jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tax advisory services to Ferrovial entities on a global scale, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Tax Planning team to provide advice and support to foreign subsidiaries on various tax matters, including cross-border restructurings, withholding tax, and financing implications.
- Review and challenge advice received from local external tax advisors, sharing outcomes with stakeholders within the organization.
- Interact closely with regional and local tax colleagues, acting as a sparring partner to discuss and align tax impacts and tax-efficient structures of projects.
- Support complex tax projects, focusing on international group tax law, foreign tax law, double taxation agreements, and EU tax law.
- Participate in preparing and analyzing the annual Corporate Income Tax expense provision, both current and deferred, of the Group.
- Provide support in tax defense and litigation, addressing tax audits and disputes in all jurisdictions related to corporate tax matters.
- Collaborate on Global Reporting tasks.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Studies and/or Law.
- Master in taxation.
- At least 3 years of experience in a law firm, Big 4, or in-house tax department.
- Experience working with team members across geographies, collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders in commercial, financial, and legal functions.
- Analytical, technology, and data-driven mindset.
- English: C1 minimum.
- Highly collaborative team player.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
