About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our Orgstore team at Datadog. As a key member of our platform infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and running our data storage platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fault-tolerant, scalable solutions for our multi-tenant environment
  • Write precise, well-tested code in Go, Java, Rust, or C++
  • Collaborate with our customers to understand their needs and build use cases for our platform
  • Design generalizable solutions that force multiply our technology and build leverage
  • Take ownership of major parts of our systems, identifying areas for improvement and building a vision for the future

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
  • Significant backend programming experience in one or more languages (Go, Java, Rust, C++)
  • Experience working on various distributed systems problems (high durability / low latency /...)
  • Experience with various distributed systems technologies (Postgres, Kafka, Redis, etc.)
  • Ability to perform thorough incident root-cause analysis and host detailed retrospectives
