Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant Payable Specialist to join our Finance department in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Ledger, providing assistance with accounts payable, payment runs, and payables management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Ledger Management: Sole responsibility for the maintenance and reconciliation of the Accounts Payable Ledger.
- Accounts Payable Support: Provide assistance with accounts payable, payment runs, and payables management.
- Bank Reconciliations and Payments: Responsibility for bank reconciliations and payments.
- Financial Reporting: Posting and reconciling school finance reports weekly.
- Intercompany Accounts: Reconciling of intercompany accounts at month end.
- Staff Support: Advising staff and assisting them with queries and gathering information as required.
- Ad-hoc Support: Providing ad-hoc support when required by senior members of the team.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably inclusive of accounting modules.
- Experience: AP experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Accounting Skills: Strong technical accounting skills.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service ethos and high attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Systematic and organized approach.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
