QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Semrush. As a key member of our Black team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our test automation framework, ensuring the quality of our Site Audit product.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve our test automation framework using Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Develop new test automation scripts to cover existing and new functionality.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize test automation tasks.
- Engage in manual testing of UI and API, including research testing.
- Track the quality of the released product at all stages of the software life cycle.
- Participate in the analysis and formalization of development requirements with the team product owner and UI/UX specialists.
- Interact with developers and testers to form a technical strategy and improve development and testing processes.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- At least two years of experience in Java Automation.
- Understanding of OOP principles and knowledge of Design Patterns.
- Good knowledge of Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Experience with continuous integration systems (Gitlab CI, Teamcity, Jenkins).
- Experience with bug trackers (Jira, YouTrack).
- Good knowledge of testing theory and understanding of the software lifecycle.
- Experience with databases.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript due to domain specifics.
- Basic understanding of containerization and Docker.
- English language proficiency (B1+).
We are interested in candidates with experience in:
- Automation on JavaScript/TypeScript and Jest.
- a11y testing and a11y test automation (e.g. Axe).
- Playwright.
- Allure TestOps.
- Selenide.
- Kubernetes, Grafana, Splunk.
- NoSQL database.
- Ability to work with command line nix systems.
The Black team is responsible for the development of the Site Audit product, a leading tool in the world market for auditing websites for technical issues and tracking changes and statistics on various types of errors.
Our team consists of a Product Owner, five Backends, three Frontends, one Full-Stack Developer, one DevOps, two QA automation engineers, and one manual QA engineer. We are looking for an additional QA automation engineer to join our team.
Our Test StackWe use Java 11, Maven, TestNG, Selenide, NodeJS, Jest, Playwright, Gitlab CI, Allure TestOps, and Test Containers in our test automation framework.
Stack on project:
- Backend: HTTP/REST API/gRPC, Java, NodeJS, MongoDB, BigTable, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
- Frontend: JavaScript, React.
- Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes.
