About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our subsidiaries in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication with local accounting teams and serve as the primary point of contact for accounting-related matters.
  • Identify and address any financial discrepancies or issues, and implement improvements to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with external audits and provide support to local accounting teams on cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in audit and 2 years of experience in a company, preferably with a Big Four background.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and compliance issues, with a plus for experience in the digital industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
