Job Summary

This is a leadership role responsible for the daily management of the spa, salon, fitness center, swimming pool, and wellness operations at Fairmont La Hacienda. The successful candidate will optimize guest satisfaction, productivity, and expense controls while capitalizing on revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual budgets and strategic plans for the spa, salon, and recreation operations.
  • Ensure all areas operate cost-effectively and efficiently, reviewing expenditures to ensure they are within operating budgets.
  • Review daily productivity and measure spa actual performance to budget.
  • Generate monthly facility productivity reports.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and policies relating to safety and emergency procedures.
  • Meet with group meeting planners to showcase spa and salon facilities and programs.
  • Provide professional delivery of information to potential spa guests via email, telephone, and in-person communication.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications department to implement marketing plans and public relations programs.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions, and sales techniques.
  • Monitor scheduling of all services and special programming.
  • Establish professional business relationships with vendors.
  • Prepare detailed induction programs for new employees.
  • Develop, conduct, and maintain staff training programs for team members.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings to provide information, obtain feedback, and rectify operation issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in luxury resorts.
  • Oral and written fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Thrives in large-scale operations and high-volume environments.
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail, passion, and innovative approach to Spa and Wellness.
  • Good presentation and influencing skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change effectively.
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with ability to set priorities.
  • Commitment to professional values and brand consciousness.
