Position: Senior Biostatistician
Role Overview:
The Senior Biostatistician provides expert statistical guidance to cross-functional teams, leads groups of statisticians and programmers, and ensures the application of suitable and efficient statistical methodologies throughout the development, submission, and lifecycle management of Bayer products, adhering to relevant global and regional standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Scope of Work: Global
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with various function representatives to design studies, perform analyses, and present findings, taking on roles such as study statistician or project statistician.
• Directs virtual cross-functional sub-teams within Data Science & Analytics.
• Establishes standard procedures for routine analyses.
• Develops comprehensive statistical analysis plans for studies (or integrated analyses).
• Facilitates the organization and coordination of statistical tasks.
• Takes ownership of the production and precision of statistical analyses and interpretation of results.
• Works autonomously on statistical inquiries and assignments.
• Oversees and guarantees the accurate and timely completion of statistical work assigned to external partners.

Qualifications:
• PhD or MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
• Minimum of two years of experience as a statistician, with substantial experience in the Pharma, Biotech, or related sectors
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficient in statistical programming languages (including SAS and/or R)
• Fluent in English
