Job Description Summary

The Technical Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction in the EMEA region. This role will work closely with Sales Managers, Global Key Account Managers, Marketing, and R&D functions to penetrate key customers, build on Elementis' brand image, and drive new sales opportunities and long-term success.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver and Lead Technical Expertise: Drive the team to achieve business objectives and fast-track the creation of new business opportunities across all tiers.

2. Lead Customer Projects: Collaborate with technology, marketing, and sales to resolve and troubleshoot technical issues related to product formulation and manufacturing. Develop and enhance technical relationships with current and new customers.

3. Drive and Identify Product Innovation: Ensure market needs, customer expectations, and regulatory standards in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams. Lead and/or participate in multifunctional projects for Personal Care.

4. Design and Develop Comprehensive Training Programs: Ensure clear communication of Elementis' products value proposition.

5. Identify and Line-up New Business Opportunities: Align internal technical expertise with customer needs to drive new project development and support the execution of sales and marketing initiatives.

Job Competencies

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of product formulation in the personal care sector. Understanding of industry-specific regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Leadership: Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking and vision to align technical efforts with company goals. Mentorship capabilities to support the development of team members.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales. Collaborative approach to problem-solving and project execution.

Customer Focus: Ability to provide technical support and resolve customer issues. Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality products and services.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience in project planning and execution from concept to completion.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Business Acumen: Understanding of the commercial aspects of product development. Ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives. Strategic mindset to contribute to the company's overall success.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the personal care industry.

IT Skills: Advanced computer software capabilities like MS Office.

Language Skills: Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus, i.e., French, Spanish, German, or Italian.

Working Arrangements: Home office based.

Traveling Required: Up to 50%.
