Job Title: Senior Customer Quality Engineer

At Importante Empresa, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Customer Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of components and products produced by our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the integrity of product quality for assigned areas through participation as an integral part of the manufacturing team.
  • Identify and interpret customer quality requirements and/or any regulatory/business requirements.
  • Drive and champion quality improvement efforts.
  • Provide expert analysis, guidance, and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools/techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Responsible for New Product Qualification and verification of changes to current products.
  • Ensure that internal customer needs for Quality Systems are met in a timely and functional manner.
Requirements:
  • Requires a four-year degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Manufacturing Engineering/Quality Assurance experience in a metalworking environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, capability studies, statistical distributions, machine (metalworking) and assembly processes, problem-solving, team facilitation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of IATF required.
  • Experience with Supplier Development a plus.
  • Experience with report writing in Microsoft Word and graphical analysis in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Minitab for statistical analysis.
  • ASQ Certification a plus.
