About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Finance Manager to join our team at WeHunt España. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for creating financial models, analyzing target assets, and preparing investment committee memorandums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive financial models from scratch to support acquisition and financing structures.
- Analyze target assets and companies to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Prepare detailed investment committee memorandums outlining investment theses and providing profit and return analysis.
- Identify suitable lenders and prepare materials required to raise project financing, including teasers, information memorandums, and financial models.
- Negotiate financial models and terms with asset sellers and project finance providers.
- Examine structuring alternatives in term sheets, considering risk and returns, leverage and equity requirements, project maturity, and available instruments.
- Coordinate financial, tax, legal, technical, and insurance due diligence processes.
- Engage in day-to-day dialogue with counterparties during project finance or M&A buy-side processes.
- Participate in negotiation of transaction contracts with sellers, equipment suppliers, and debt providers.
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written Spanish and English.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in financial modeling and transaction execution in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Previous experience in a bank, infra/energy company, or debt advisory firm with strong financial modeling skills and experience negotiating term sheets and financing documentation.
- Understanding of M&A and project financing processes, as well as accounting statements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in the context of an M&A process closing phase with tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Comfort with sophisticated Excel PF models and modeling skills in project finance.
- Prior work experience in project finance, asset-backed finance, M&A/investment banking, real estate, or private equity would be highly valued.
