About the Role
As a key member of our Global Retail Architecture team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that drive business value and improve operational efficiency. Your primary focus will be on sourcing goods and services for the Retail Architecture department, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Supervise Procurement Activities: You will lead and supervise direct and dotted line reports responsible for purchasing activities related to Retail Architecture, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: You will partner with the Head of Global Retail Architecture Development & Planning to design and implement effective strategies for sourcing processes, ensuring development and execution for all goods and services within the assigned category.
- Manage Global Forecasting: You will take charge of designing, consolidating, and overseeing 'Global Forecasting,' with a specific emphasis on furniture and devices, ensuring that accurate forecasts are developed and implemented to support business planning and decision-making.
- Optimize Sourcing of Goods and Services: You will ensure optimal sourcing of goods and services, focusing on price, quality, delivery, and logistics, while managing supplier relationships to maintain a robust supplier base.
- Implement Global Sourcing Initiatives: You will actively participate in the implementation of global sourcing initiatives, overseeing tasks such as negotiating and maintaining supply agreements, supporting global contract negotiations, and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in procurement and a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
