About the Role

Koch Engineered Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled Site Technician to join our team and support our solar energy operations. As a Site Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our solar field, performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular inspections of solar equipment, including inverters, transformers, modules, trackers, weather stations, and soil monitoring solutions.
  2. Maintain accurate records and documentation of site activities, including visitor logs, substation work, battery maintenance, and generator operation.
  3. Collaborate with component manufacturers to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
  4. Perform daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems are functioning properly and replace faulty components.
  5. Ensure site safety for all personnel and equipment.
  6. Conduct testing and troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical systems.
  7. Inverter inspections and cleaning, filter, and fuse replacement, basic troubleshooting and repair.
  8. Perform scheduled array inspections of home runs, modules, and tracker systems.

Requirements

  1. Electrical knowledge gained through work experience, military service, or post-high school education.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 1+ years of experience with PV systems or related power generation equipment.
  2. Knowledge of AC/DC systems, wiring, and applications.
  3. Experience using maintenance tracking computer programs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25-$42 per hour, with opportunities for variable pay and bonuses.
