Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Media Workflow Management team in the field of multimedia services such as XR experiences, connected cars/trains, or broadcasting in Linux environments. As a Senior Engineer at Vicomtech, you will focus on video streaming, suitable formats and protocols, containers, telemetry, and orchestration (QoS/QoE-driven congestion and rate control) as a software engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop applied research activities in projects according to your specialization.
  • Carry out continuous surveillance on the state of the art in relation to standard video streaming formats and technologies and open-source tools.
  • Contribute to the generation of new ideas and concepts of technological development and identify new business opportunities in the area of interest.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, efficient, and programmable solutions that meet the demands and dynamically adapt in and beyond the state of the art.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, constantly researching and experimenting with innovative solutions to enhance our latency, telemetry, and congestion control.
  • Be proactive in identifying, forecasting, and addressing performance bottlenecks, applying optimizations, and maintaining the quality and continuity of the video streams.
