Job Description

ARQUIMEA is a technology company operating globally, providing innovative solutions and products in highly demanding sectors. Our areas of activity include Aerospace, Defense Security, Big Science, Biotechnology, and Fintech.

We are looking for a UAV Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of safer and more reliable defense systems through technology, including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing UAV systems and components. Key tasks include:

  • Aerodynamic and systems design of UAV platforms, both fixed-wing and rotary-wing.
  • Preparation of technical and manufacturing documentation for UAV platforms.
  • Assembly of prototypes.
  • Preparation and execution of UAV test plans, both in the laboratory and in flight.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aeronautical or industrial engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in UAV platforms. Proficiency in Catia or SolidWorks design software is essential, as well as knowledge of aerodynamic calculations and flight mechanics. Knowledge of assembly, manufacturing, and maintenance processes for UAV platforms is also required. Drone piloting experience is valued, as is knowledge of aerodynamic simulation tools (XFLR5 / FLUENT / OPENFOAM).
