About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Head of Payments to join our team at Outpayce. As a key member of our Payments Business Unit, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our payments business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic objectives and projects for the Payments Business Unit, including mergers and acquisitions, e-money licenses, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership and Advisory: Provide trusted advice to senior management on payments business initiatives, risks, and opportunities, and lead the legal team to deliver best-in-class legal services to the business.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that products and processes are developed in a compliant manner, working closely with regulatory and compliance teams.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes and develop effective strategies to resolve them, working closely with the Head of Payments BU.
  • External Services and Operational Efficiency: Oversee the choice, quality, and costs of external counsel, manage relationships with law firms, and drive operational efficiency in legal transaction operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payments law and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and advisory skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
