Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our Greenfield Construction Department in Madrid or Asturias. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the civil engineering aspects of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define civil design criteria for PV plant projects
  • Review and develop civil engineering designs, including foundations, drainage systems, internal and access roads, earthmoving, etc.
  • Review and analyze hydrological and geotechnical studies
  • Develop technical specifications, erection procedures, and inspection plans
  • Coordinate the civil discipline of renewable energy projects and support engineering processes
  • Provide technical office support for engineering projects, including organizing and controlling project documentation
  • Review project specifications, including engineering design, technical specifications, industrial quality certifications, and performance standards
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project schedule proposals, plans, diagrams, and drawings, and conferring with management
  • Maintain project data bases by gathering new data and backing up existing data
  • Promote and enforce HSE rules in the workplace
  • Complete technical studies and prepare project status reports
  • Assist the Construction Supervision Team with scheduled onsite visits
  • Assist with cost estimates reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or above
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience as a Civil Engineer
  • Intermediate level of English language (B2)
  • Advanced or native level of Spanish language (C2)
  • A valid driver's license
  • Availability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Training related to renewable energies
  • Proven experience in civil engineering supervision in large-scale photovoltaic and other renewable energy projects
  • Familiarity with project-related documentation, including plans, drawings, quality dossiers, guarantee and performance certificates
  • Technical profile with knowledge related to PV civil engineering design
  • Good design skills and technical understanding
  • Familiarity with CAD, CAD/CAM software for circuit design
  • Knowledge of engineering methods and procedures, process improvement
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to scheduling software
  • Organizational capacity, documentation management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
