Electrical Project Manager: HV Substations, EMEA Infrastructure

As a seasoned Electrical Project Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team tasked with delivering HV substation projects across Ireland, Sweden, Capetown, and Spain. Your expertise in electrical engineering and utility management will be crucial in leading and advising construction projects at scale.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, as you will work closely with general contractors and vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality project turnovers. Your ability to create construction project scopes and request for proposals will be essential in driving project success.

As a key member of the AWS Substation Project Management team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver HV substation construction projects that meet the highest standards for safety and security. Your work will contribute to the delivery of seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing construction project management and oversight of construction-related activities for new HV substation projects.
  • Directly interfacing with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
  • Working with general contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality project turnovers in line with electrical utility requirements.
  • Creating construction project scopes and request for proposals.
