About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team in EMEA. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the construction of HV substations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide construction project management and oversight of construction-related activities for new HV substation projects in Ireland, Sweden, Capetown, and Spain.
- Directly interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
- Work with general contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality project turn-overs in line with electrical utility requirements.
- Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
- Lead within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
- Travel to HV Substation sites for engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, mechanical system reviews, start-up testing, and full commissioning, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
- 7+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering principles, including breaker coordination studies and switch-gear sequence of operation.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles for cooling systems.
- Demonstrated contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders) associated with construction and project execution.
