Job Description:
The Global Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and evaluating innovative drug development opportunities from pre-clinical through commercial stages. This includes:
- Identifying partnership or acquisition opportunities through networking, attending scientific sessions, monitoring pipelines, news, and industry leaders.
- Evaluating potential targets, managing the cross-functional process involving relevant team members in R&D, contract manufacturing, internal manufacturing, IP, and legal.
- Preparing presentation and marketing materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences for out-licensing.
- Seeking licensing of products or technologies to increase the portfolio.
- Managing NPV analysis on each product pipeline candidate.
- Structuring in-licensing and co-development deals.
Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- New products identified and approved by the Board in the Portfolio Committee.
- Co-developments signed with external companies.
- Follow-up and support of development or commercial activity in new products.
- New technologies and products brought to the Company.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A University Degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine, and/or Biology); a PhD is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an in-licensing Business Development position in an international environment.
- Specific Knowledge: Proven experience in deal-making, both in early stage and late stage deals is a must.
- Deal sheet is mandatory.
- Travels: Willingness to travel as needed.
