Position: Senior Biostatistician
Role Overview:
A Senior Biostatistician provides independent statistical expertise to multidisciplinary teams, guiding groups of statisticians and programmers while ensuring the application of suitable and efficient statistical analysis methods throughout the development, submission, and lifecycle management of Bayer products, adhering to relevant global and regional standards, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with cross-functional representatives to design studies, perform analyses, and present findings, serving as a study statistician or project statistician.
• Leads virtual cross-functional sub-teams within the Data Science & Analytics department.
• Establishes standard procedures for routine analyses.
• Develops comprehensive statistical analysis plans for studies or integrated analyses.
• Facilitates the organization and coordination of statistical activities.
• Takes responsibility for the accuracy and timely delivery of statistical analyses and interpretations.
• Works autonomously on statistical inquiries and tasks.
• Oversees and ensures the precise and timely completion of statistical work outsourced to external partners.

• Statistical methodologies are essential in drug development and lifecycle management, influencing the planning, design, analysis, and reporting of studies, projects, and programs to secure regulatory approval, scientific validation, and successful product launch and maintenance.
• The Senior Biostatistician plays a crucial role in drug research, the development of new pharmaceuticals, the approval process by health and reimbursement authorities, and the lifecycle management of marketed products, in line with the major responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications:
• PhD or MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
• Minimum of two years of experience as a statistician, with significant exposure in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or related sectors
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficient in statistical programming languages (including SAS and/or R)
• Fluent in English
