Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our UF6 production team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in monitoring the process and leading process and equipment upgrades to improve health, safety, environment, and production within the UF6 production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned process areas, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process optimization initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and support to operations, including process development, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership for process and equipment upgrades, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and P&IDs, and ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements, codes, and standards.
- Project Management: Manage and support projects, conducting investigations and implementing corrective action as needed.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field and a minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
- Professional Certifications: P. Eng or P. Eng eligible.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, ability to adapt to a changing environment, and strong relationships with a wide variety of personnel.
Assets
- Chemical Industry Experience: Experience in the chemical industry, including knowledge and expertise in process safety, risk identification, and hazard control.
- Process Control and Instrumentation: Knowledge of process control and process control instrumentation.
- Safety-Sensitive Position: This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of their employment.
